This is a very beautiful Faure and Revine, Mah Jong, Model Number 254 wood burning stove, dating from the late 1920's. The stove is remarkable to look at, with its oriental influenced styling. If one looks closely at the detailed castings one can see dragon heads belching flames and its name, Mah Jong, cleverly incorporated within the top lid design. Below the lid is a cast iron panel that sits above the firebox providing a generous  area for a kettle or the like. The temperature of this hotplate can reach 300C.

The stove has the following dimensions:
Height: 460mm
Width: 530mm
Depth: 280mm
Ext flue diameter: 97 mm

Weight: aprox 30Kg

This stove is unique in Bijou Burgundy and at Hunters of Yorkshire we love it. It is economical, a great source of heat and ideal to use with either coal or logs. It looks lovely when it's lit and it's a focal point to any room. It's made from Australian Cast Iron which means the Cast Iron is thicker than most stoves and allows it to retain the heat longer, meaning you get more out of your logs or coal which saves you money.
Hunters of Yorkshire is new to ebay which is why we do not have many ratings at the moment, but we are a UK based company and we can ensure you that we only stock items that we have tried and tested, where we know the quality is fantastic and products that we would have in our own home. We're so confident of our products that we offer a no quibble refund policy if you are not entirely happy with your purchase within 7 days.

Victorian Beetonette Stove / Range Cooker

This stove has the potential to be a really beautiful central feature to a room, as well as a working oven.  It was previously installed in our house (see photo), and has a lovely character.  It has a chamber for a fire (it would take wood and/or coal), a separate oven and hot plates on top.

Beetonette stoves are now very rare, and there are very few left in working order.  This one has the potential to be refurbished and could be brought back to working order with some TLC.

It has suffered water damage to its back from a leaking chimney, so the back is in a worse condition than the front and the rear and side panels would need replacing.  These are simply rectangular metal panels, and could be manufactured relatively simply.  The front could easily be refurbished - it has superficial rust which would need to be rubbed down and repainted.
