This is a very beautiful Faure and Revine, Mah Jong, Model Number 254 wood burning stove, dating from the late 1920's. The stove is remarkable to look at, with its oriental influenced styling. If one looks closely at the detailed castings one can see dragon heads belching flames and its name, Mah Jong, cleverly incorporated within the top lid design. Below the lid is a cast iron panel that sits above the firebox providing a generous area for a kettle or the like. The temperature of this hotplate can reach 300C.
